When you study harpsichord at CIM, you’ll explore repertoire from the early Renaissance through today. It all starts with weekly one-on-one lessons with our world-class faculty and a wide array of performance opportunities.

You’ll collaborate in performances of solo and ensemble works with the Case/CIM Baroque Orchestra and with modern instrumental ensembles at CIM.

For practice and performance, you have access to four double-manual harpsichords. You’ll learn about variety in touch, stylistic awareness, the art of expressive playing, and skills such as figured bass and continuo playing.
